WHAT IS RHOMBUS?

Rhombus takes the hassle out of collecting payments or donations from your customers, members or group of friends on any mobile device, using the most ubiquitous messaging system – SMS. The friction-free process lets users make a purchase or donation instantly by texting an amount and description to your Rhombus number!

HOW DO I SEND A PAYMENT WITH RHOMBUS?

To send a payment to a merchant, local business, or non-profit, simply text the amount and description to their Rhombus number in this format: “$XX.XX Description”. For example; “$20 2 Burritos and a soda” or “$50 Feed the Children outreach”

HOW DO I KNOW MY PAYMENT WAS SENT?

You will receive a payment confirmation by text immediately after. You will also receive an electronic receipt by email for every payment you make.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY CHARACTERS I CAN SEND?

Yes. There is a 160 character limit for each individual payment you send using Rhombus.

IS THERE A MINIMUM OR MAXIMUM AMOUNT i CAN SEND THROUGH RHOMBUS?

Yes. You can send a minimum payment of $5 and a maximum payment of $15,000 using Rhombus.

ARE THERE FEES?

Sending a payment with Rhombus is completely free as long as you use a bank account, a supported debit card or credit card to fund your payments. With Rhombus, we only charge 2.9% + 30c per transaction to receive payments or donations; we cover the monthly cost of your assigned Rhombus number, including all the messaging fees associated with the payments you receive. WHAT BANKS DO YOU WORK WITH?

Your Rhombus account works with all the major banks in the United States.

WHEN ARE FUNDS DEPOSITED INTO MY ACCOUNT?

We currently offer two day payouts for 25c/payout. The payments you receive via Rhombus are bundled and paid out to your bank account in two business days on a rolling basis.

WHAT COUNTRIES CAN I USE RHOMBUS IN?

Rhombus is currently only available in the U.S. We are adding support for other countries soon.

WHAT PHONES DOES RHOMBUS WORK ON?

Rhombus works on any phone with text messaging capability.

WHAT IF MY PHONE IS LOST OR STOLEN

In the event that your phone is stolen or misplaced, simply log into your Rhombus account and deactivate your payment card or account.
